Find the current privacy, terms, academic-integrity, AI-use and data-handling boundaries in one place.
Privacy
When you are signed in and explicitly confirm a save, CasePath can store bounded structured project state such as project metadata, learning progress, normalized requirements and rubric state, planning, checklists, notes, revisions and software-step progress. Original assignment files, unbounded source documents, hidden file metadata, local paths and raw AI payloads are excluded.
You can restore or delete a saved structured project from Projects. The Account export remains a bounded metadata view. Deleting a saved account project does not delete a separate browser-local copy or your sign-in account. Full account deletion is not enabled yet; it requires a separate privacy operations process and provider runbook.
Terms
Some signed-in features allow you to explicitly save privacy-safe structured project state to your account for recovery. This is not raw assignment file storage, automatic cloud sync or an online backup of full source documents.
Deleting a saved account project removes its durable structured state. It does not remove a separate browser-local copy stored in your current browser and does not delete your sign-in account.
Academic integrity
CasePath uses one nine-step workspace with two modes. A Complete Practice Project is a verified non-assessed learning case. A Guided Assessed Project is the student's current assessed project. Assignment Overview, Submission Requirements, Rubric Breakdown, Question Walkthrough, Approach & Examples, Research & Evidence, Draft Review and Final Student Check provide the same teaching, explanation, verification and checking capability in both modes.
How Software Steps changes
Complete Practice Software is fully available. For a Guided Assessed Project, complete real-project Excel, formulas, models, charts, Python, results, PowerPoint and speaker notes are available when the guide does not prohibit AI, explicitly allows AI, or allows AI with disclosure. If the guide explicitly prohibits AI, Software Steps instead provides a complete Parallel Worked Example. If authoritative rule sources conflict, task-specific Software stays at Needs confirmation.
A Parallel Worked Example may use the same or a similar method, setting, goal and assumptions, but its company and data must both be materially different from the real assessed project. Renaming a company or randomly changing numbers is not enough. The parallel case and real project remain clearly separated.
Review, records and safety
Draft Review checks; it does not rewrite. It identifies the issue, evidence location, reason, revision target and checks to repeat. It does not replace whole paragraphs, imitate the student's voice or assemble a submission through repeated rewrites.
CasePath records bounded categories of assistance in a Contribution Ledger. When disclosure is required, an AI Assistance Record helps the student report assistance accurately; it does not invent draft history or claim independent work that did not happen. Sources must remain identifiable and verifiable, and CasePath does not invent citations.
Exams, quizzes, vivas, invigilated or timed tasks, identity-verified assessments, prohibited external help, LMS operation and submission remain project-level safety gates. Buying a Single Assignment Pass never overrides these gates. A clear external-help prohibition is different from an AI-only prohibition: the latter changes Software to a Parallel Worked Example rather than blocking the whole nine-step workspace.
Course rules and review
School and course rules differ. Students should check the assignment guide, unit outline, learning management system and institution policy. CasePath is not TEQSA-accredited and is not an institution-approved product unless the institution says so. Automated decisions are safety controls, not legal rulings or automatic findings of misconduct.
Students can report suspected misuse or appeal an incorrect restriction through Contact. Include the affected feature and the rule source, but do not send passwords, session details or unnecessary private coursework. Academic-integrity decisions are reviewed after policy, material-provider or product changes.
AI usage boundary
AI is off by default. External AI requests require explicit configuration and authorization. API keys stay in the local server process and are not stored in the browser. Account project metadata export does not include AI prompts or AI outputs.
Data lifecycle, export and deletion boundaries
Data handling and deletion
Depending on the feature used, CasePath may handle account details, project metadata, confirmed requirements, saved revisions, analysis results, uploaded files, payment records or support records. The relevant screen must explain what is being used and why.
A project export tells you what is included and what is not. Projects saved in this browser are exported separately from limited account project details. Some security or legally required payment records may be excluded or retained with a reason.
Some information can be deleted immediately, while provider or legally required records may need review or minimum retention. Deleted account project details cannot currently be restored through CasePath.
Account deletion requests have a 7-day cooling-off period. Final account and provider deletion is not available yet. Payment and tax record retention still requires professional legal and accounting review.

No public checkout in this version
First launch is Single Assignment Pass only. The displayed amount is read from the server payment policy; each pass is valid for 30 days after payment confirmation and binds to one account-owned metadata project. Unused passes may request refund review within 7 days; bound, used or technical-failure cases require manual CasePath operator review. Controlled live checkout can run only for allowlisted verification with operator approval; ordinary users cannot buy yet, subscriptions are not sold, automatic refunds are not active, and production payment is not verified.
